Hi Carlos,

You do not have to be there. We can do it 
during your lecture hour or after you are 
finished for the day. We would have to start no 
later than 3 o'clock on whatever day you would 
be able to let us do this. This is because we 
close at 5 and the update may take two hours.

Is some days and times you could provide to do 
this either when you are in a lecture or 
finished for the day.

Lastly, Please make sure to back up your 
machine to your H drive or any other sort of 
external drive before we do this.

I do teach in the office here the computer is 
located, and I do use it for composition 
lessons. Is it necessary for me to be present 
during the update? I could leave my office 
unlocked during my lecture classes, or when I’m 
finished for the day.

Hi Carlos,

Do you teach it in your office or where the 
computer is located? Do you need the computer 
to teach? I can set you up with a loaner while 
we do this. That way you have a machine to 
teach with. We can also do another time and day 
within the next few months?

I am sorry that this update is inconvenient but 
it is important that we get it updated since it 
is a security flaw.

Hi Carlos,

I see you filled out the Doodle for the Mac 
update. Thank you for that. 

Depending on the OS X version you are running 
this update may take more than an hour long.

You filled out 1 to 2 on the 20th of this month 
for availability. Do you by any chance have an 
extra hour after 2? If not do you mind allowing 
a technician to stay after 2 if needed to 
finish the update.
