Description: Upgrading a Mac Pro from Drew

We are going to continue looking into locking it down we 
aren't sure if it still works in the new version of our 
management system. Other then that it is ready when are 
you available for us to return it?

Oh, and as with the midi lab computers (APSC 102), myself 
and my assistant will need to have administrative access to 
make updates as we go. Obviously not at your level of 
admin access, but at a level that allows us to update and 
add sound library files.

The only other set-up item that we would like to have is for 
this particular mac to be accessed by specific students (not 
all students) who have been trained to use it and who have 
been approved by me to have access to it. How would you 
propose I do that? I thought about having a single log-in but 
the students tend to give away the user name and password 
and, after awhile, all the students have access when they 
shouldn't. Any advice would be greatly accepted!

Description: *3/19 and 3/20*  Upgrading a Mac Pro from 
Drew

I grabbed the machine a few minutes ago. I booted it up I 
got logged in to it. It's already on 10.12. Do you want to 
upgrade it to 10.13?

Hi Brighton!

The Mac serial number is 20160898[Edit Inv] and is the only
Mac Pro (trash can) in my office.

The office will be vacant on Monday and Tuesday of
next week so you can get in there at any time (APS
228). You'll need to contact Julia Harrington -
administrative assistant to the music department
(SH 104), to gain access into my office. I am
including her in this email so that she has a
heads up.

In addition to upgrading the OS to macOS Sierra
(10.12), we will also need to have Apple Logic
installed, for which the music department has a
site license.

Is there any other information that you need at
this time??

Hello,

Dr. Walczyk purchased a mac pro in 2016 for use by
film scoring students in the music department, but
didn't get it set up. We are now in the process of
setting it up and need the oppperating upgraded to
macOS Sierra (10.12). It is currently on OS X
Yosemite (10.10). The computer is currently set up
in his office. Also, when we booted up the
computer for the first time, we were unable to log
in into the computer. Any help you can provide
will be greatly appreciated.
