Hey beeb

Any chance his USB hub has turned up? It hasnt on
our end. Not sure if it got set up in a different
place or maybe gotten rid of? what do you think
would be the next step? Thanks

Good afternoon -

My work computer in NS 214 has not been 
reconnected since it was returned from the old 
ed building in early December.  Whomever moved 
it to the old education building and back again 
lost cables, connectors, and adapters necessary 
to reconnect everything, or I would have done 
it myself.  It is now week 3 of the term.  Had 
I been trying to teach this term this situation 
would have been intolerable.  Fortunately I'm 
on sabbatical, but still require my office 
computer for work.

The WOU number is earlier in this email string.

I can't imagine how my colleagues who are 
trying to teach this quarter are managing 
without their desktops!

Please, please, please find a way to get it put 
back together next week.  I'll be at UC 
Berkeley for the week on research, but will 
need to use the computer, printer, scanner, and 
slide scanner when I return in Feb 1.

the "router" he is talking about is a USB 3.0 hub.
I remember seeing one in the big auditorium in the
ED building. Shina is gonna bring him a converter
for his monitor so we can at least use his own
computer.

Good afternoon -

I'm sending specifics to both UCS and Beeb to 
save time gathering parts.

When my office computer was removed from NS 214 
some of the cables were apparently lost.  There 
is a slide copier, printer, and scanner that 
will need to be connected to a router and then 
to the desktop.  A number of connector cables 
are missing.

Additionally, I THINK the monitor requires an 
adapter to connect to the computer.  I could 
not get cable to fit, and the pins are all 
wrong.

That computer is (I think) about 6 years old 
now.  It sure would be nice to upgrade!

Hopefully things can be hooked up so that I can 
use it after next Monday.
