I had someone look at my MacBook a few weeks ago
(I apologize for misplacing the name of the
person) and was told that I need a cable replaced.
Currently it seems to not know that it's a laptop;
it allows me only to use bluetooth mouse and
keyboard but not its own trackpad and keyboard.
Therefore I have not been able to take it home and
have just been using it as a desktop computer. The
UCS staff person told me this is an issue that has
happened occasionally for users of this model.
