He took it back. He said they will likely buy a new battery 
for it and install Ubuntu on it.

The BIOS cannot be updated in this laptop because the 
battery is faulty and will not charge. It cannot run 
Windows 10 without the newest BIOS. Laptop uses a 
special battery
