We've changed group permissions for that folder 
as a workaround.  Would you guys please run 
that test again on Monday to see if it's 
working?

I emailed Bonnie and Kyle and asked them to 
test both that the scans are making it to the 
network folder and that the documents are being 
picked up by DocStar.  Will update you again 
when I hear back from them.

Hi Bonnie and Kyle, 

Narrowing down our DocStar troubleshooting, 
would you guys please test these:  

1.  When you scan with the new Brother scanner, 
does the document show up in the destination 
folder on the computer? 
\\groupa.wou.edu\groupa\dining\doc_management\b
izserv-ap

2.  Does DocStar pull the documents within 30 
minutes? (it should be 10, but give it an extra 
20 to be sure)

Let me know the status of these once you test 
them, and we'll go from there.

Normally I can, but not for what she wants to 
do.  She's scanning receipts taped to pieces of 
paper, so if she wants to do that without 
running the risk of destroying the scanner, she 
needs to run it by using the Brother software 
and the plastic carrier sheet made for that 
purpose.  It's already set up to scan with one 
press for a regular piece of paper.
The documents she's able to scan are making it 
to DocStar though, right?

I will call her and see if I can figure out 
what's going on
she says that she has to run a program on her 
computer in order to use the scanner, and it's 
a pain to have to do that for every invoice
can you set up her scanner like Joanie's? 
Joanie just presses a couple of buttons on the 
scanner itself and drops the paper in

Hey, Bonnie says her DocStar is still not 
working in campus dining.  The documents are 
reaching the network folder, but she says it's 
not getting to DocStar.  At this point, I'm 
starting to suspect it's something user-error 
related on her end since you were seeing the 
documents showing up on DocStar.  I'm not 
familiar with DocStar though.  Would you be 
able to take a look at it with her?

Hey Bonnie and Kyle,

I just emailed Tony about this.  I asked him to 
get in contact with Bonnie and see if they can 
figure it out.  Unless the folder I have it 
pointed to is wrong, which it doesn't sound 
like, it's an issue on the DocStar end.  

I'll keep you updated with what Tony says.

Documents are reaching doc_management\bizserv-ap, 
but not making it to DocStar.  Emailed Tony about 
this.

Set up printer - Driver software is installing 
slowly, so I left it running as she had to leave 
and I will check in with her again to finish 
installation and show her how to use it.  *9:00am*

is what this particular scanner was purchase for use with.

This scanner W#20190702[Edit Inv] is on the inventory counter in 
ITC 008 and is due to go to Bonnie Sherrill in Housing 
with order contact being Ryan Jennings. This is for use 
with Docstar and will be hooked up via USB to PC 
desktop VAL128 W#20160271[Edit Inv]
