I set up his computer and I connected him to
his printers but pdf's were not printing for
some reason. The software said the print went
through but the page never came out of the
printer. Printing MS office documents works
fine.

I have a class today at 3:30 but I'll be in my
office until then, up to about 3:20. Tomorrow
I'll be here from 11 to noon and again from 1 to
3. -kk

Greetings,
I know that the service request I put in
yesterday has been closed, but my computer is
still acting strange. The person who came over
to help started the process of downloading a
newer version of Office (the 2019 version).
It's been about two hours since that started and
the download process has still not finished. I'm
willing to give it more time, but he had said
that it should only take about 20 minutes. I'm
attaching a screenshot so you can see what the
window looks like.

Please let me know what you think. Thanks for
your time.

Dr. Kirby

Quick update: my office computer is still not
behaving well, but when I opened my powerpoint
slide presentations on classroom computers
everything was fine. This seems to confirm that
there's something going on with the Mac in my
office.

I'm leaving campus now, but tomorrow I'll be here
from 11 to 3, either in the office or nearby.
The problems I'm having are sort of paralyzing my
ability to get stuff done, so if someone is
available to stop by tomorrow during that 4 hour
window I'd very much appreciate it. Thanks again
for your help.

Greetings,
My office computer is behaving weirdly in multiple
ways. For example, this morning I have opened a
power point presentation only to find that many
things about it (like the font used) have changed,
and I can't make any modifications to restore my
preferences. Similar things have been happening
with Word documents. I don't know if others on
campus are experiencing these sorts of things, but
the way it stands now I can hardly use the
computer to do my work, which is sort of a
problem. Please help. Thanks for your time.
