He called and I suggested an SMC reset.  He said 
he was comfortable doing this and was going to get 
back to us if it did not help.

Hi Omar,

I need some additional information regarding 
service request #75666

Description: 3/10 @ 2:30 PM computer dies fast

I'm Katherine with UCS, I spoke to you yesterday 
regarding your computer. The MacBook you 
currently have has an 8-hour battery life, this 
pretty average for most laptops. However, if you 
would like we can provide you with a loaner 
laptop (older model) and then do some additional 
testing, if needed send it in to Apple. Also, I 
did talk to my supervisor regarding Apple Care 
and it looks like you would have to go through 
our department to do this because the computer 
technically belongs to the school. Let me know if 
you would like to do additional testing. If you 
have any questions feel free to contact our front

visit your office and check out your battery drain 
issue?

Computer dies within a day, I checked power saving 
mode and it looks like it fine. I told him I'll ask 
around to see if anybody has encountered any 
problems.

Computer dies really fast once you close it and 
shut it down when it is supposed to be asleep. 
He would like advice on how to prevent this 
from happening. Would like a tech to come out 
and look at it.
