Julia,

Thanks for getting back to me, I'm not sure how your area got a loaner for this use but loaners are only for temporary use, not a permanent solution. Your department will need to purchase a station for this student worker position. We can not give out another loaner. The 2012 station will need to be dropped off to our office too since its operating system is out of date and not secure anymore.

That laptop is our student worker laptop. While we don't need it at the present moment, we will need a student worker laptop in the fall.

Hi Julia,

We were just following up with you regarding a service request that we have for you.  (#75709)

Description: *3/11* Windows 10 ? 

We were going through tasks that were put on hold due to Covid. This one was you asking for W20120214 to be updated, this machine can not be upgraded to Windows 10 due to its hardware and it was a loaner machine from UCS. What is the need for this station? What are students doing on it? We have very few loaners due to Covid.
