Megan, I think you're right the document automatically becomes a PDF into my email. I guess there is no problem that I need to worry about.

Can you forward me a document you scan to your email? I'm a littleĀ confused, normally when scanning to email the document automatically becomes a PDF. Where do you want the PDF to go?

 Yes, what I have a problem with is scanning documents into the PDF format; instead of the document going into my email address.
