Hi Megan:

Yes, the process you used to identify the computer is not recoverable is great.
Next step would be to work up a process with Scott and Joanie to get a replacement from GFA in place.
For this particular instance, they may have one in stock already.

This shuts down randomly while using it even 
when the battery is fully charged. I reimaged 
it to 10.15 and reset the PRAM and SMC. The 
issue persists. The machine is out of warranty 
as of a month ago.
