Beeb,

Our desktops don't have wifi in them, only ethernet. I will have a tech put a local account on it but using ".\username" locally logs you in without a network connection. I will update the ticket with this information. SR 76191

Hi Megan, 

The reason for the local account is because he is not sure if he will have a hard line connection to the internet. If it is wifi capable, then there will be no problem.
He would need it done as soon as possible because he will have a hard of hearing student in PH201 so every video he will produce will need to be captioned. He needs to start now in order for ODS to complete it on time.

When does this need to be completed? Is there a reason he needs a local account? When off-campus he can still log in with his account using ".\username"

Hi Megan and UCS Team,

 

I have received a request from a professor about getting his office computer tuned up so he can take it home to use for fall term prep and use.  I have listed his request below.  It will be for William Schoenfeld, his computer is located in NS 217A and the WOU# is 20181058[Edit Inv].

 

"I suspect I'll be producing hours of content each week. What I'd like to do is to bring home a computer station that is PASCO ready so that I can produce data files for their lab experiments."

"Can you have UCS install both PASCO Datastudio and Capstone software on my office PC - I think that will be the easiest one for me to bring home. Please let UCS know I'll be taking that machine, with both monitors home. I'll need to have a local login installed. Last fall when they reimaged the machine there was a tech who finally figured out how to reimage the machine in such a way as the old Datastudio software still worked.  He said he would make a note in the UCS records of how he did it."

 
Please let me know what we can get done with this request. Your help is always greatly appreciated!
