Hi Mark,

Can you try again. I am not sure if you put a W in 
front of the 20130545[Edit Inv]. If so please do it without 
the W. I tried it on my account and it took me to 
the next page to select a new machine. I would do 
it for you but it declines if someone other than 
the owner of the machine fills it out.


Please let me know if it is still not working.

I entered the number, and it said:
UCS is not currently replacing computers that are 
still under warranty. Please contact the SRD 
(Service Request Desk) for assistance using the 
information at the bottom of this page.

That computer is old and certainly not under 
warranty.
But I cannot get any further in the online 
process.

Hi Mark,
I am contacting you about SR#76280 - Hard drive 
not found. Unfortunately, the hard drive is bad. 
Hopefully, everything was saved on your H drive or 
a shared drive. I will not be able to 
retrieve anything that was on the desktop.
The good news is that you are up for a replacement 
machine. The replacement process has changed. If 
you go into your Portal. Under my programs, you 
will see Computer Replacement. This process will 
ask you for the WOU# of your old machine which is 
W20130545. At some point, it will ask you if your 
machine is working. Say no since it is not. If it 
asks for a reason put failed hard drive. Once you 
have submitted your replacement request it will go 
to a queue to be approved. Once approved a tech 
will start getting it ready for deployment.

took computer back with me, received a couple of errors

hard drive not found
exception processing message 0xc0000006 parameters 0x7ffc17512d58 0x7ffc17512d58 0x7ffc17512d58 0x7ffc17512d58
error encountered has to restart

after some deliberation, it has once again decided  there is no hard drive to be found

emailed the user to ask if he has any local files

I have been in the office only once since then, and the problem remained.
Please send someone over to look at it.  I will not be in, so you'll need to get someone from the Humanities office to let you in to my office, Bellamy 304.

Bell 304 desktop ALERT harddrive not found. 
No rush to fix because Perlman is off campus 
for the rest of the term. Second Humanities 
computer also displaying this, i believe there 
is a ticket for it already.
