Hello:

Maybe I am running into one too many issues because it is an old laptop ... here's the latest one that happened yesterday, and it is happening a lot today, which is making me completely inefficient in my virtual teaching work.

In Moodle or in email, when I go to attach a file, the system freezes.  I took photos, and sent myself those images of the screen from my personal account to show you how it happens:
1. I go to upload a file.
2. The moment I click on browse, invariably the spinning ball appears and that's where it gets stuck.
3. If I try to force end it by clicking on cancel or the "x" in the top right corner, then the "not responding" display shows up.
4. At this point, I have to use the task manager to end the tasks.
5. Nothing else works and I have to shut the computer down.  But even there it gets stuck--shows shutting down forever.
6. I then hold the power key down and force a shut down.

I hope I have clearly described the problem, and the images also help you.  BTW, you will notice that I have images from Firefox and Edge to show you it is the same with any browser.  I tried Chrome too.

Once, the file access hassle happened within MS Word also--I clicked "save as" and the spinning wheel ran forever.

If you want remote access to my laptop, I can make myself available all day tomorrow until 2:00.  (The images also include my laptop WOU #)
