Hi Beeb,

I need some additional information regarding 
service request #76401

Description: Computer error, cant use

I've been working on the computer to reimage. But 
because the computer is different than our standard 
computer, it's requiring a lot more work than 
normal. I'm going to need John's help, and he's 
been unavailable this week. I'm hoping it can get 
finished by mid-next week.

So I chatted with Dr. Taylor and he said to just 
go for it. Just make sure that he has admin 
rights and arc GIS and he should be fine for now.

Hi Beeb,

I need some additional information regarding

Description: Computer error, cant use

It looks like Windows is completely broken. I've 
tried various things to get past the Dell Screen, 
and nothing has worked. The only way to make the 
computer usable again will be to reimage. We can 
try to take out the hard drive and get as many 
files off as we can, if this is something he would 
like to do.

Safe Mode won't load windows either. Windows is 
corrupted in someway. The best we can do is reimage 
and get stuff off the hard drive.

Hi Beeb,

I've been trying to get Dr. Taylor's computer to 
turn on and it seems to be stuck on running 
diagnostics. I believe the problem is Windows got 
corrupted, I'm going to try one more thing that 
might help the computer load into windows, and 
I'll let you know if it works. If it doesn't, I 
think we will have to reimage the computer. Which 
would mean deleting everything on the computer 
and reinstalling windows and other programs all 
over again. However, I believe we still might be 
able to get some files off the computer by taking 
out the hardrive and manually sorting through it. 
I'll let you know tomorrow if the reimage is the 
most likely scenario.
