****This is an email****
Hello,

I'm Katherine with UCS. I've been working on
Marina's computer, someone dropped it off for me
to work on. I wanted to let you know our
findings. As of right now, Marina's computer
battery is in excellent health with it at 70% of
design capacity (which is normal for computers to
lose charge capacity as it gets older). I did
leave the computer running, and it lasted about
3.5 hours, which I do agree is low. However, I
did some research and it looks like Latitude
5290's are notorious for having low battery
capacity (and Dell is aware of this). This means
Dell won't replace the batteries under the
warranty.

If you still want to put in an order to get new
the batteries, we can still do that. I can easily
grab the correct battery info. so you can order
it. However, I just want to let you know that a
new battery will not fix the issue completely
because a brand new battery will average about
90% design capacity (which is only 20% more than
what Marina's has right this moment). This means
that you will get maybe an hour more of battery
life on average.

One suggestion by Dell is to invest in a Dell
Notebook Power Bank Plus, which is basically an
external battery. This will increase battery
life, but it can be a hassle to carry around and
it's still a band aid fix. Here is the link to
the product: https://www.dell.com/en-

Thank You,
Katherine
