ram seems fine, tried a variety of things that didn't really do anything

couldn't resolve windows update error code 0x80070643

told her i was not planning on coming back and to contact ucs with any further issues

maybe check in someday and see how things are going. if further problems are present, will probably need john or someone to check it out.

Here are a few things we could try;

 

Make sure all OS updates are done

Try using a different user if that is faster than it might be a profile issue and could be resolved by deleting the profile having the issues.  This wipes all files off the local computer for this user, downloads, desktop, bookmarks.

Adding RAM if the RAM in the drawer is compatible. 

I have seen Sophos do this, sometimes removing and reinstalling Sophos helps.

computer is slow, will eventually respond but takes a bit

lots of programs installed on it
maybe the startup apps?

had updated recently so likely not that, though i left it updating (though the update could fail or the computer have more updates to install after this initial one)

computer is connected to tv and projector and stuff; nathan might know more
but from what i understand, moshe checked it out and asked nathan, who said it's something we could figure out (likely why it ended up in the ucs tech queue)

asked john to send me a list of things to try to get it to run more smoothly

told laura i would keep in touch

I need some additional information regarding service request #77477

Description: The computer has been extremely slow. 

Has everything been slow, or are certain functions better/worse than others? I can try updating the computer. If this does not work, it may need to be reimaged. Would you like to bring it in or have me pick it up so we can take a look at it?
