returned computer. she still needs something called "eclipse"--
possibly an attachment/add-on for docstar--installed/working. I also
forgot to give her admin rights; I will need to do this.

oh, speed tests for inside hr:

download: 89.9
upload: 47.6
"very fast"

apparently 100ish is normal for that building

also, apparently, jenn sauer was still having computer issues, so they
swapped her hd as well. (so moving her computer wasn't really a
solution)

waiting on an email response then will deliver this computer.

looks like the hd cloned to the nvme. going to confirm with someone
when more people arrive.

the computer is making noises like the fan is going out, which is new.
will need to keep an eye on that. the computer is still under warranty
until 5-22.

if the nvme is good to go, I will insert it and return the computer to
Mayra this morning.

going to delete her local account. not sure if it will help, but might as
well try. other option is putting an NVMe in it. but she needs it back
asap so need to get it fixed today if at all possible.

going to test it in hr as well. she is impatient to get her computer
back; the loaner doesn't have all the permissions she needs for
banner. I don't know what else I can do here, so I might as well just
take it back. I need to do an internet speed test there anyway.

started computer up. running two videos, updates, and typing in a
spreadsheet for 15ish minutes. videos were running fine for at least
10 min. started to buffer. computer finally shut off and is restarting,
but I think that's because of the automatic restart after updates.

I will consult with John when he returns. but my current conclusion is
that it is working fine here but maybe not over there. with Jennifer
Sauer's computer (77491, 77454), the main issue, I believe, was the
internet connection.

this is my final memo in 77454:
"this has been resolved. it must have been a network issue; she
moved to a different office, and her computer is now working fine. "

from what I remember, sauer's computer was working fine in ucs and
terribly in hr. and this computer was being used in the room next
door.

I could try an internet speed test in ad 206a (where this computer is
from). but the loaner isn't really a reliable source of information
because it (1) is a year older and (2) has an nvme in it.

the computer is still restarting/updating lol

to sum up: the computer seems to be working fine in ucs and terribly
in hr. it could be an issue with the user account or the ethernet
connection in ad 206a. or it could be something else entirely; I will
talk to John

I am going to bring over 20190206[Edit Inv]. it's a nice loaner, but payroll
seems important, and we'll try to get their computer fixed asap.

Hi Lauryn,

Just a standard loaner should be great! Banner and excel are our
main applications:)

Hi there,

There is a computer in our office that is loading slowly and continues
to freeze throughout the day and requires multiple restarts
throughout the day. We are in the midst of payroll and we need this
computer to be in working order. Is there a way to have this computer
fixed today or have a new computer brought in while the other one is
being fixed?

Thank you,
