Our imaging system is currently down, so I am not sure when I will be able to get your computer fixed and returned. I will do my best to get it back to you as soon as possible.

imaging has been turned off for the time being because of the nvme issues. i can't fix this computer until imaging is back up.

Hi Scott,

Description: Office computer is getting black reboot screen

From your description of the problems your computer is experiencing, it sounds like the best option would be to reimage it. This would completely wipe the computer and reset it to default settings, ensuring any virus on the computer would be removed. 

If possible, could you please bring your computer in to the UCS office so we can service it? If this is not an option, I or another tech can stop by your office to pick it up. I apologize for not having time to come by this morning. 

In the meantime, please detach the ethernet cord (white or yellow) from the back of your computer.

TAKE OFF NETWORK

reimaging would work, though we could maybe try scanning with sophos first? if the user doesn't want us to just reimage it. though if he can't log in in the first place and there's a black screen...
