This was resolved in another SR ticket. She recieved a new MacBook and the old one will be PDR'd because it is faulty.

I'm not on campus today to pick up a loaner, and am heading to a meeting at Chemeketa. I think it would depend on how long I would need to use the loaner? The last one I had was older and did not have some of the programs I use. Let me think about it, and also wait and see if we can figure out a plan soon?

cleaned things up and got it to ~52 gb free, identified the files taking up space under her user profile and informed her of what she might want to manage to free up further storage space. 

still can't identify any problems with charging other than cables being easy to remove; computer is either ready to be picked up or proceed with a battery replacement at her discretion.

will update with how she wants to move forward; she mentioned she'll be on campus thursday.

We've been unable to reproduce any charging issues, but the battery in the laptop is at the end of its service life due to normal degradation (67% of original capacity) and ready to be replaced.
If the charger you're currently using is producing inconsistent results, it might be time to replace the USB C charging cable as well. 
The battery should still support normal usage and just a shorter battery life, but it could cause system instability during high workload usage. 
The service cost for replacing the battery would be about $220 including shipping. If you'd like to proceed with the repair, 
just let me know and I can get an official quote for you to prepare for the order process.

checked out the laptop, battery capacity is at 61% of original and is in need of service, but i'm not seeing any problems with charging or unusually fast discharging.

addl, ssd has about ~45 gb free but not actually seeing any issues with the storage other than it being ~82% full.

thinking maybe the charging issues could be a bad cable (usb c), and the battery could use servicing but not finding any concrete issues otherwise.

Computer is having issues with storage- only 
allows user to use 11 out of like 200 GB of the 
storage. Also, sometimes her computer will not 
charge- it won't recognize the charger as 
connected and will just die even when plugged in

Uses Screenflow, if we have the computer for more 
than a week she might need that software on the 
loaner.
