Hi Maren,

We would like to speed up your current (2018) 
computer instead of forcing you to try and use a 
much older (2014) computer. We have a new NVMe hard 
drive prepared to install in your current computer 
but you would lose anything you currently have saved 
locally on that computer.

As soon as you have everything you need off that 
computer, we can drop by at your convenience and do 
that upgrade.

haven't contacted her yet to find out if she has 
stuff that she needs off of her old computer. 
leaving an nvme copy on the cloner for her computer

her original computer is 20181069[Edit Inv] and is GFA so we 
can put an nvme in it to speed it up instead of 
letting her use a 2014 computer.

just called her. some karen lady, hum secretary, said she could use the older computer. 

asked john about the general situation, he said a computer left by an old staff member would typically go to the person who will fill the position next; if there is no next person, the gfa setup should come back to ucs. if want an exception, talk to nathan.

so, we should check with john to see what he wants to do with this. 

maren doubts the position will be filled again. the computer has been sitting in the office. she tried to log in (and also tried turning it off and on (at least, she said she did)) but couldn't. she thinks the old faculty member is still logged in. she doesn't think we need to wipe it (i mean, it might be good to do, but the computer is already over in their dept.)she wants to use this computer because hers is v. slow. we had it in oct/nov, i guess i thought it was working fine; i gave it back to her (77619). it's still not working; took 10 min to restart/turn on; took 10 to open task manager; chrome crashes. 

TL;DR her computer isn't functioning well, so she wants to use this computer, but she needs help logging in. 

she said we can just go into her office; she won't be there this afternoon.

Would like old faculty members computer for their own use, not sure if we can do this? 
Maren is requesting we make 20140651[Edit Inv] ready for her to access. His login (the old faculty member) is still on the login screen so she cannot bypass it.
