clarification: this is the laptop's built-in 
microphone. Not a standalone one. Could be a driver 
issue?

I'm hoping someone can help me with my microphone. 
It won;t work for all apps (like Voacroo). These 
are apps I've used previously, but now don't work. 
I've tried everything I can find online to 
troubleshoot & would love your help.
