Hello,

I am an intern working in the SHCC. My computer 
started having problems last week and someone from 
UCS came out to see it. They were able to get it 
back to the main screen, and told me to contact 
you if I had more issues, and you would wipe it 
and give me a loaner computer for the meantime. 
Unfortunately, I have continued to have a lot of 
issues since then. 

Right now my mouse is stuck and the cursor won't 
move at all on the screen. I brought a different 
mouse in from home and it does the same thing. 
Before the weekend, my computer also started 
freezing up and I can't get out of certain screens 
without turning it off and on again. Right now I 
am completely unable to get into the system that I 
need to do my work, so I am stuck. Could someone 
please come out and help?

I suggested options for her: just reimage and hope 
for the best or replace HD with NVMe at the cost of 
$50 for her department. No contact since.

Thanks! I just started a couple of weeks ago and 
I'm only in the office one or two times a week, so 
I haven't worked with the computer much yet. It 
seems to run okay after I log in. But from start 
to then, it is extremely slow. It's not an 
isolated incident.

Computer might need to be reimaged, and a loaner 
probably needs to be swapped out while we work on 
it.

my computer in my office is running extremely 
slow. It takes about 15 minutes just to power it 
on. It seems like this may not be normal according 
to my supervisor. Can you provide any tips/help 
regarding this, as well?
