If you want to drop off your computer we can try 
recalibrating the battery and see if that fixes the 
issue. If not, the battery would have to be serviced 
by Apple. If your department approves paying to fix 
it, we can send it in.

I do recommend checking out a loaner in case we have 
to send it to be serviced.

The computer won't stay on when not connected to 
power even though the battery is fully charged. 

This has been going on since the beginning of term. 

I would not need a loaner laptop (depending on how 
long a fix would take).

My macbook no longer works when not plugged in. The 
battery indicates that it needs servicing.
