****This is an email****
he issue was that I plugged the lap top into the
charger b/c I thought it must be out of battery
and that is why it wouldn't turn on..and it showed
no signs of life. I have no idea why. It worked
perfectly fine the last time I turned it on.

I will just forgo a laptop for now and will borrow
when I travel next again. I see no reason to
replace my desk top as it is in perfect working
condition and we are trying to save money at this
Uni. I am fine for now. Thank you.

Asked for clarification on what the issue she was
experiencing with the laptop.

We no longer do long term loaners so recommended
she go to the Library to check one out.

Asked to see if she would like to do the GFA and
we could to the replacement sometime over winter
break to accommodate her schedule

Moshe,
Thank you for the swift response. I want to keep my desk top as long as possible. 1. It is working just fine so there is no actual need to replace it and 2. I certainly don't have time for that change this week.
I would like to just get a new loaner for a few months until I am ready for this desk top to be replaced. Let me know what time I should come over to pick up a replacement loaner and I will get over there asap. I will revisit this whole topic when I don't have 700 assignments and finals to grade.
Thank you so much for your time and efforts on this.
Warmly,
Shawn

Hi Shawn,

I need some additional information regarding service request #80036

Description: Loaner no longer working

I was going through our service request logs and noticed that W#20160135[Edit Inv] is a Dell Desktop that is under your name. I spoke with Nathan Sauer and he mentioned that you are eligible for a GFA replacement for that desktop. This means that you would receive a new Dell laptop that you could use in your office and take with you. If you did this, you wouldn't need to hold on to another loaner (which we are technically only allowed to give out for a certain period of time).

If you are interested in doing this, you would go through the GFA replacement process in your WOU Portal and once it gets approved we would work on that and get it to you. If you have any questions about this, feel free to let me know.

In the meantime, would you still like to us to work on getting you a loaner back? I can also try to fix the issue with the one you brought back (W#20181456).

Feel free to let me know what you decide to do as soon as you're able to.

Thanks,
Moshe Martinez
