She brought in 20160799[Edit Inv] because it also had a 
battery problem, I tried putting the new battery 
in it and it worked. I then tried putting it back 
into 20160811[Edit Inv] and it worked at first then shutoff. 
So the battery can go to 20160799[Edit Inv] instead, but we 
have to ask John on Monday.

We were just following up with you regarding a 
service request that we have for you.  (#80390)

Description: Lib Chromebook won't turn on 

I saw your request for a an update on laptop 
#20160811[Edit Inv]. We tried swapping the battery and 
different ways of charging it. There seems to be an 
issue with the motherboard that is preventing the 
battery from powering the system. A whole new 
motherboard would be more expensive than the laptop 
cost. We are still determining what the next step is 
for the laptop.

Tried on a different charger, still won't boot up. 
The charge indicator light on the chromebook isn't 
turning on either when plugged in

The charger seems to work fine, swapped the battery 
out with the new one it was delivered with. I put it 
on the bench to see if it'll charge and boot up

Hello,
We have a Chromebook 20160811[Edit Inv] that won't turn on.  
I am hoping someone can check the internal battery 
to see if that's the issue.  I can walk it over to 
the helpdesk today.
