What is the WOU number for the laptop? Would you 
be able to come in or would you prefer a tech to 
come visit? If so, what time works best for you?

Greetings, 
I’m currently using a laptop your office provided 
me as a replacement for the desktop that I 
previously used in my campus office.  Today I have 
run into problems getting any work done on it. At 
first I thought the problems I have encountered 
were with Canvas, but now it seems that it may be 
the laptop. The main symptom is that while I can 
place the cursor in a field the keyboard is not 
working in the sense that when I type no 
characters appear on the screen.  

Anyway, I’m sorry to be a bother, but I quite 
literally cannot do any of the work I need to do 
with this laptop. I can’t post anything for 
students, and I can’t do any of the online grading 
I need to do.  I’m stuck.  I effectively have no 
computer available; having worked as NTT faculty 
for as long as I have, I simply can’t afford to 
purchase a computer of my own.  I’m emailing you 
from my phone.

I’m going home now but I’ll be back on campus 
tomorrow morning.  Please let me know if you can 
help me find a solution.  Again, as things stand 
right now I can’t perform most of the work the 
University pays me to perform.  This is both 
frustrating and embarrassing.  A world of hurt.
