Hi Grant,

I fully updated your laptop and got it to turn on. It hasn't done any 
freezing or black screens while I've been working on it. It is ready for 
pickup, or I can drop it off somewhere on campus as well.

Hi Grant,

Description: Grant brought in his laptop, #20200985[Edit Inv]. He says that it 
no longer turns on since this morning.

I have plugged the laptop into a charger and it turned on, though I 
tried the same thing when you brought it in initially and nothing 
happened then. I am running some windows and driver updates - it 
came up that there were two driver updates for the monitor which 
may have been where the issue came from.

Laptop turned on after being plugged into a dock, logged into 
UCSadmin to run windows / driver updates - says there was two for 
the monitor, which may be where that issue came from.

His department has a spare laptop that he is using 
whilst his laptop is being assessed. He does not 
need a loaner. He also said that he is in no rush 
to receive the device, even if he gets it next 
month he is fine with that.

Grant's laptop #20200985[Edit Inv] stopped turning on / 
displaying, he says he was using it yesterday just 
fine and left in plugged in and this morning it 
won't turn on or display anything. He just brought 
the laptop in, no case or charger, and it is sitting 
on imaging table. Laptop's body was hot to touch as 
if it was on.
