Good morning, 

I have the loaner laptop to return to y'all - let 
me know when is a good time to drop it off. 
Related, as UCS folks have been helping me 
troubleshoot my laptop not wanting to 
automatically reconnect to campus network drives 
wirelessly once I've used it at home, I took 
photos of our routers info - below. I also worked 
on the loaner laptop from home, then opened it on 
campus and it connected to campus network drives 
no problem!

Thus I think the issue is my laptop :(

Good morning,

I wanted to note that I still have the loaner 
laptop as part of trouble-shooting my laptop not 
wanting to connect to network drives after I work 
from home. It's been so hot in our house (AC went 
out) that I haven't had a chance to work from home 
on the loaner - I haven't absconded with it, I'll 
test it out this weekend and bring it back early 
next week.

Hello good afternoon,

I still am not able to connect to WOU network 
drives when using wifi on campus. I did talk to my 
home internet provider (Xfinity/Comcast) and they 
can't see anything strange on their end.

At home (for which the VPN system to WOU works 
great) my IP is
IPv4: 73.11.11.240
IPv6: not detected

Just for fun, I also checked my IP from my campus 
office just now:
140.211.66.66 (from wifi)
140.211.66.77 (from ethernet)

I'm heading out for the day soon, but could I 
bring in my laptop to continue to troubleshoot on 
Monday?

The same problem she had last time she came in was 
present again; the DNS server thing was manually set 
to a specific address, which means it wouldn't 
connect when she was on campus and thus she couldn't 
see any of her drives. We did the same fix, which 
involved going into the wifi settings and dns 
settings to just click the box that auto detected 
it. We think there is something going on with her 
router / wifi at her house, where she takes the 
laptop so she can work at home. Next week we will 
hear back and see if that is the issue, and if so, 
we advised her to call her ISP to ask about that and 
verify if that is an issue (manual DNS setting).

Hi Kyla,

A Dell laptop

Someone from UCS whose name I'm trying to remember 
fixed this for me a week or two ago because they 
just happened to be in my office for something 
else - the fix had to do with the NDS server 
addresses.

Hello,

I am again not able to connect to my H-drive when 
my laptop is using wireless vs ethernet. I tried 
remapping the drive and that wasn't successful.
