We turned of WiFi, unplugged Ethernet cable, disconnected all network drives, powered off the computer, hooked the Ethernet back up, and restarted.  Everything is working like it should now.

Shea is trying to get into files and his computer is 
slow when he is on the wifi or plugged into the 
network. the computer appears to work normally when 
it is off the wifi/network.
