We tried the fix on his laptop this morning, it
worked, he took the laptop back and now we have to
get the loaner / bag back.

We think we know what the issues are as this is
the third or so problem that has came up like
this; the solution is just disconnecting and
unadding the network as well as all network
drives, then logging out, readding the network
after logging back in, to which the drives should
remap / reconnect and fix themselves.

User was attempting to move files from H drive to
physical computer, or vice versa, to which the
finder window freezes up and the progress bar gets
stuck along with displaying a speed of 0/mbps. We
will do some testing on the laptop itself. John
said we should try readding the network / taking
it off putting it back on and see if it resolves
the problem. Something may be going on with the
network / routing causing this.
