Hi Emily,

I need some additional information regarding service request #81129

Description: Needs admin user and pass to install zoom updates 

What is the status / still needs to be done with this machine? I am looking at this open service request and there are confusing little updates from others;

from what I have on this, the device in question is this 20141298[Edit Inv] iMac.

It's zoom was out of date to the point where it won't work unless updated, and to update you needed admin rights which weren't on the machine. The problem is that the iMac was never assigned to you, so we don't know if we can put your admin rights on the machine. If you have a department head / supervisor that could give us an email allowing us to add your admin rights to the machine, we could do that, and also help update the machine. Ideally, a department head / supervisor can also put in an equipment replacement request to replace that almost 10 year old computer.

Hi Emily,

Once we get confirmation that the device is 
assigned to you by your department, we can 
schedule a time for our techs to come over and 
give you admin rights for your computer and 
install/update zoom and all other applications you 
might need access to.

I will do my best to talk to the right person in 
COE to get the computer assigned to me. They gave 
me the office, and I need to use the computer, so 
hopefully they can assign me the computer as well 
as the office! Sarah Hewitt is no longer here - 
and hasn’t been here for years. The last person to 
use this office and computer was Chrys Burcham.

I also just tried to download a new version of 
zoom and I can't do that without an administrator 
username and password as well. So, I guess I need 
someone to come over and type that in for me.

I have managed to launch Zoom with the SSO. Now it 
won’t work because it needs to be updated and 
fails at updating. Any thoughts on how I can fix 
this?
