Description: Computer stops responding **scheduled for 1/12/24 
@ 1pm**

Are you available tomorrow for me to come take a look at this 
computer and see what’s going on with it. I’ll be here from 8am -

Laurie,

Yes, it is computer 20181474[Edit Inv]. I was told that 
there was an error message but that they cannot 
remember what it was.

The previous ASWOU VP had similar problems with 
the computer, see service request 81577. I would 
say that this has been going on since November 
2023.

The ASWOU VP has informed me that her computer 
keeps freezing up and showing blue screens.

She has done the following: turned the computer 
off and on several times, had the computer do an 
update and the blue screen/freezing is still 
happening.

Could somebody please come take a look at her 
computer and see if this is something that can be 
fixed?

Hi Richard,
As of now the computer seems to be working fine other than the fact that none of the browsers except  Microsoft Edge are working. When I click on Chrome and Firefox an error message pops up. It's not a big deal and I'm just using Microsoft.

Last week UCS came out to ASWOU to fix 3 
computers. Unfortunately, computer 20181475[Edit Inv] is 
still not working. The computer is not starting at 
all. Could you please let me know what we can try 
to get this fixed? We double checked that the 
computer is plugged in, the light on the tower 
comes on, the monitor lights come on but nothing 
else happens.

Computer that wasn't turning on is able to turn on 
now. Computers that were freezing are running 
updates. Closing ticket for now.

ASWOU has 3 computers that we are unable to use 
and we have had service requests entered but not 
seen a tech come and talk to us about it.

Would it be possible for somebody to come check 
out what the problem is and to let us know if we 
need to replace them or if there is a different 
fix to get these computers to work again.

One won't turn on, two freeze every time you are 
using it.

I am out of the office tomorrow but here on 
Thursday and Friday from 8AM-5PM.

Daizy is the only one using the computer.

Freezing - it stops responding to anything you do. 
You have to turn it off, restart it, before you 
can work on it again.

Tomorrow between 12 and 3
Wednesday between 12 and 2
Thursday between 1 and 2

I am here Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 8AM - 5PM 
(out to lunch 12pm-1PM).

Hello,

I can get a service request made for this issue so 
that one of our techs can come take a look. I just 
have a few questions to help provide more 
information for our techs. Does this only happen 
when Daizy is logged in to the computer and is she 
the only one using it? By freezing, do you mean it 
occasionally freezes for short periods of time or 
does it freeze up long enough that it has to be 
restarted? In case this is an issue with her 
individual user profile, when would she be 
available in the ASWOU office this week?

ASWOU computer #20181474[Edit Inv] keeps freezing when used 
by the ASWOU Vice President. Could somebody come 
take a look and let me know if it is an easy fix 
or if it needs to be replaced.
