Looked at computer, Sophos didn’t notice anything strange. No 
popups happened when I was looking at it. She left with her 
assigned computer and will let us know if anything new happens.

She said she can come in tomorrow (Nov 8, 2023) and drop her laptop off. I have prepared loaner 20180603[Edit Inv] and added her admin rights. Updating loaners and checkouts and creating loaner ticket for her.

Hi Adry,

I need some additional information regarding service request #81585

Description: Adry's laptop has ad popups on browser / seems to have virus

I have talked over it with someone back at my office and they said they would like to take a look at it in person because it currently isn't reporting anything back on our end; we wouldn't take your laptop to be reimaged currently, just looked over at the moment; I can provide you with a loaner either today or maybe tomorrow to grab this from you if that works with you.

Adry called in today just a few minutes ago claiming she has advertisement popup windows come up when she's trying to use her browser, it sounded at first like it would be from whatever sketchy website she may have been on, but she said it was when she was accessing handshake (probably through portal) that a popup window occurred - her laptop / computer needs to be checked for malware, I am meeting with her in the Center for Prof. Pathways office @ 12 today.
