Okay! That's good news, I hope that it doesn't crash near as frequently if at all since those changes have been made - I can close the ticket for now, and can reopen it if there are future problems. Let me know if that works for you,

Hey Jack,
Thanks for reaching out. 

I apologize for the delay in getting back to you. What was consistently happening to my laptop is when it was connected to the dock the screens would frequently go blank and then the computer would be unresponsive. I did have additional devices attached to the docking station. Since I removed the additional devices (i.e phone charger) to the docking station the crashing frequency has dramatically dropped. I am unsure I still need a replacement at this point.

Good morning Brady,

Thanks for following up with me. LouAnn and I were talking about 
trying to order a replacement. The laptop I have currently 
randomly crashes. It happens far more frequently when it is 
docked than when it is not. It starts with a spinning ball and then 
just goes black. Sometimes the computer will reset itself and other 
times I am forced to force reset it. This has been going on since 
the end of March when I started here. I hope this helps.

Seems jamf is still having issues. Waiting for a resolution so I can 
make sure the laptop has everything it needs.

This laptop is under warranty and AppleCare. We would 
not replace it yet. Diagnose the issues, and have it 
warrantied.

Hello,

 

I’m reaching out to request a replacement laptop 
for Evan Sorce. He received his computer in March 
2023 when he began his position at WOU; however, 
it crashes frequently which creates a loss of his 
time and work. I’ve included Evan on this email so 
he can provide further details, if necessary, and 
have also spoken with Nathan about the situation.

 

Please let Evan and I know how to proceed.
