Hello Daniel,
I see that the macbook is no longer in the spot I had it - did you come in to pick it up? If so, do you remember who got it for you and if they added your admin rights and such? I just want to make sure that the laptop was all ready to go when it got back to you.

When he comes in or it gets placed with him, he has to sign into the wifi, sign into it, have his admin rights added, have any network drives he may need up, ask if he needs the VPN, and add any printer from on campus that may need adding.

We just got your macbook all re-downloaded w/ Mac OS, and everything should be ready to go. Were there any special apps you would be needing downloaded on this machine outside of our usuals? (Zoom, MS Office, Adobe, etc.).

Tried to fix the time issue. setting the time 
server would temporarily fix the time and then it 
would set back to october 30th.

Recommending re-imaging.

The Time has still not corrected itself. Some sites

According to our techs, that is the correct source 
address. It should be ntp.wou.edu so you shouldn't 
have to worry about it. The time change likely 
occured due to the shutdown but has been fully 
restored. Have a great rest of your day!

Daniel,

I see, thank you for clarifying. Is the address 
being used on your Macbook currently ntp.wou.edu? 
Does it allow you access to change that? If so, I 
can check in with our techs to see what the right 
address should be... but if you are unable to 
change it, I will need to create a service request 
ticket for that. 

Wanted to also clarify, the server being incorrect 
is not affecting your use of your device, correct?

server that I wanted to notify you about.

Does it give you an error that it requires admin 
access when you try to edit the time? I will go 
ahead and create a service request ticket for our 
team to troubleshoot the issue. What is the WOU# 
of your device? Do you only work remotely or do 
you drop by campus on occasion?

Hey just a minor issue, when the services went 
down the other day, my Macbook’s time system went 
out of whack. As of 1230 pm right now it shows 
it’s at 5:52 pm on the Mac. I went to go look at 
the time server information being pushed out to it 
form ntp.wou.edu and its not correct. I was 
wondering if there is still an issue with that.
