Apollo.io Chrome Extension

Jenna Bauman
10:18 AM (2 minutes ago)
to Michael

Good Morning,

Adry Clark was trying to install Apollo.io extension on her Chrome (apparently Jennifer who works with Adry
already has Apollo.io and uses it frequently), and Adry let us know she was not able to install the app
because she got an error that it was not secure.

I did some digging and Apollo.io is a legit tool. It's apparently frequently used as a tool for LinkedIn.
I'd asked Adry if she tried to download Apollo.io from the Google Chrome Web Store, and she relayed that she
did NOT try to go through the official Chrome store but instead googled for Apollo.io and grabbed a random
result from Google. She was then told it was not secure and was not able to download the file. I opened a
VDI session and went to the Google Web Store, found the Apollo.io extension and was able to add it without
error or issue. I asked her to try the Google Chrome Web Store after telling her which extension was the
legit one. She was able to install it from there.

I've run a scan of her machine in Sophos to be safe. Let me know if you'd like me to take other steps.

I was going to use this with LinkedIn - it opens
up the information and provides phone numbers and
email

Good morning,
I'm trying to add Adding Appollo.io to my laptop,
but it says it's not secure. Is there a way around
this?

Thank you,
Adry
