Hi Alyssa,

I need some additional information regarding service request #82715

Description: Check if camera still shutting off

I wanted to check if your camera was still shutting off after the couple of attempts we did to fix it. If it is too early to know for sure I can leave the ticket open,

After, I sent them the link to a 2018 monitor camera fix for their specific monitor, and I am hoping that this should be fixed. I will check back in with them to see how things went maybe towards the end of the week. If there are still issues -- dell monitor program w/ windows laptop to update monitors? as well, maybe try an external webcam if there is one laying around.

I was able to go over there - I swapped the monitor from the left to the right to make sure it wasn't the monitor, I changed the cable on the left side (the side with the problem) to make sure it wasn't the USB cable that connected the camera. I had the laptop run updates, of which it found a 2017 monitor update, and I disabled the internal webcam as well as the other webcam from the 2nd monitor (the one not in primary use).

Good morning, 
My Zoom camera is still shutting off in the middle of my Zoom calls. I have had two meetings this morning where the camera shut off every couple minutes. Any assistance with this is appreciated!

Hi Alyssa,

I would like to recommend trying some updates through windows update and dell command update - if you hit the windows search bar on your desktop, and type in windows update and dell command update, they both should come up with the respective updaters. If you could run both of those first, that would help us determine if it is an update issue or not. 

If you would like help finding these programs, we would be able to do a zoom call and I can show you where they are located.

Alyssa called reporting that her camera on her 
laptop keeps shutting off intermittently. She 
might need updates on her computer. Available next 
week usually 8-9 am or in the afternoons if you 
give her a heads up youre coming
