I do not believe these chromebooks are fixable by any conventional means; it wouldn't be financially feasible in my opinion to attempt replacing the batteries on these 8 year old machines over getting replacements.

No basic fixes worked for them.

I can take a look at these tomorrow and will try and see if any basic fixes work for them like they have before for chromebooks w/ power issues.

Lori says one of the chrome books does not have any 
light indication when a charger is plugged.

Hello,
I will be bringing 2 Chromebooks to the help desk 
that have issues. These are part of the library 
checkout program for students.

20160804 will not turn on

20160807 will not charge.  We have tried multiple 
chargers; both Dell & non-Dell chargers.
