I was able to set up the printer by following the video below. Setup / install went fine! No thumb prints / dust specks on the roller! 

Installed the print drivers from xerox's website, I didn't even have to add anything on the printer itself - it auto added the printer after it connected through usb. Informed him that the ink cartridge currently in it may not last as long as a normal cartridge, informed him to safely tuck his spare cartridge for us to install at a later date, and he knows how to put paper in it. Closing ticket!
