Hi Scott,

I need some additional information regarding service request #83300

Description: GFA for Scott Beaver replacing W20161099

I have finished imaging your laptop with our basic applications: Google, firefox, office, adobe, antivirus, zoom, etc...

Is there any other software you may be needing access to that UCS normally downloads on your behalf? Otherwise, you are able to download and install any other program to the machine yourself. 

I am in this Friday from 9am to 1pm, I understand you were wanting this scheduled at 2pm this Friday but if there are any earlier times that would work with you that works best with me; otherwise, I can attempt to schedule this with another tech that may be there at the desired time.

Hi Scott,

I need some additional information regarding service request #83300

Description: GFA for Scott Beaver replacing W20161099

I apologize for the lack of communication; I am now configuring the laptop and there should be no worry about arrangement of monitors or anything like that - almost all of our monitors on campus are able to swivel to be vertical or horizontal. The new one will also be able to do this; we will likely be swapping this new monitor with the 20200355[Edit Inv] monitor, and the laptop will also be updated - so it will be the same setup as before with an upgraded monitor and laptop.

If there are any additional questions, feel free to let me know and I should have this equipment ready this week to install.

Hey Mary,

OK, I think I get it.  I do not wish to replace my 
laptop if it will force me to give up my vertical 
monitor, so please have the tech contact me as 
soon as possible so we can have a phone 
conversation or meet in my office to sort this out 
before WOU purchases a new laptop.  Thanks,

Scott, 

UCS only provides one monitor with the GFA setup, 
and we take back at least one monitor. However, 
depending on the age of the other monitors they 
can stay. The techs will reach out to you with 
further information and will walk you through this 
process in person. I hope this answered your 
question.

Good morning and thank you for the quick response 
Mary!  Just so I understand you correctly, with my 
replacement laptop UCS is including, for free, two 
monitors and all the necessary cables?

I currently have two monitors, with one of them 
(20091413) vertically oriented and the other 
(20200335) horizontally oriented.  I like that 
setup, so if you have one vertical and one 
horizontal monitor to give me that would be great.  
If you don't have a vertical replacement monitor, 
I'd take a replacement for my horizontal monitor 
but it's not really necessary from my perspective.

Good morning Scott, 

One of our techs has informed me that they should 
be able to supply all this information for you 
when the laptop arrives. Our tech has also let me 
know that we will supply you with all the 
necessary cables and the two monitors needed, and 
he mentioned that the docking station is no longer 
necessary.

Hi folks,

I put in a request a couple of days ago to replace 
my laptop (WOU # 20161099), and I wanted to ask to 
make an appointment with one of you good folks to 
meet me in my office to determine what cables I 
need when the new laptop gets here to make for a 
seamless transition.  I use two monitors and a 
laptop docking station.

I am free 8-9 MTWR, 9-10 TW, and 12-1 on 
Wednesday.  I am also free at other times, but 
let's start with those.  Please let me know when 
you'd be able to drop by.  Thanks,
