Hi Dr. Garza,

I see that one of our UCS tech's was working on 
some printing issues for you but the ticker was 
still open.  Are you still having issues?  If so, 
I would like to schedule a time to come take a 
look at your computer and see if I can get you 
connected to the printer.  Also, are you trying to 
print from Apple computers or Windows?

Good morning, Joel,
I have some availability today to look over this, I also am available next week. 

I do have some questions, however; are either of these two iMac's fully up to date with mac os? We have been having similar issues across campus, and typically the culprit has been extremely old installations of Mac OS as no one has taken the time and updated them.
If you can assure that both of these iMac's are fully up to date, this may alleviate some printing issues - you can do this by navigating to settings / system preferences (the gear icon) and clicking on software update.

Are you still unable to print to those printers 
this morning? If so, please let me know what the 
WOU# of your device is, as well as where you are 
located (room#). I can get a service request 
ticket going for our techs to assist when they are 
available.

Hello,

Both printers
-THREESISTERS-CA-Miles
-THREESISTERS-CA-Ellington (HP LaserJet 5200)

are not taking any jobs I send through either of 
my desktop computers. 
An error screen comes up saying "Enter the name 
and password of a user in the "Print Operator" 
group to allow this" and, when I login, it doesn't 
accept it. 

Someone came in today to work on MILES, however, I 
am still not able to print. It never asked me to 
request access to print until recently this month 
(I'm guessing because of the new print server that 
was deployed in early May?)

Hello,

It looks like in our records there is one printer 
in Smith 102 and it is #20101050[Edit Inv] and was last 
serviced by us in 2021. I have created a service 
ticket for this, SR#83491. I have some additional 
questions that may help troubleshoot the issue. 
What was the issue it was having before it was 
serviced? Is it giving any error messages when you 
send print jobs to it? Have you tried restarting 
the printer?

Greetings,

Recently, we had someone come in to work on our 
faculty printer (Room 102, Smith Hall) and, since 
then, I've tried to print from several different 
university desktop computers and been 
unsuccessful. I'm not sure if it's related to 
whatever adjustment was made recently to the 
printer but neither of our two printers are 
working when I've attempted to send a print job 
for the past few days.

Could we have someone take a look at the issue?
