Would you be able to swing it by and exchange it for a loaner laptop at some point this week? 

We can definitely take a look at this issue as well as download the software on a working loaner laptop while we take a look at your assigned laptop. 

Have you had it plugged into the power cord as well as a docking station out of curiosity?

I am generally on campus Tuesdays-Thursdays, would 
sometime between 2-4 pm tomorrow (Tuesday 6/4) 
work for me to bring the laptop in? I am also 
available after 2 pm this Wednesday and Thursday, 
if sometime one of those afternoons would work

Hello Sam,
My apologies for not responding sooner, I'd wanted 
to double-check the initial troubleshooting 
questions you asked and in the hecticness of the 
past few weeks time has gotten away from me.
So to answer your first question - no, I am not 
able to turn on the laptop by holding down the 
power button. In terms of the powered on/charging 
light indicator in the bottom right corner of the 
outside front of the laptop, in general I am not 
able to get this light to turn on no matter what 
power source/cord I use. There was one partial 
exception to this - if I used one specific USB-C 
cord and power block I typically use for my cell 
phone, and plugged this cord in at a very specific 
angle, I was able to get the light indicator to 
come on but only for a brief amount of time 
(example video attached). Based on this, it seems 
like it may be an issue with the hardware of the 
charging port itself?
Please let me know how I should proceed at this 
point, and thank you for all your help!

Hi Rebecca,

Thank you for forwarding that information. Are you 
unable to hold down the power button to have it 
turn on? Does that not work? 

When you plug your device into a charger, does it 
have any light indication? Does a light come on 
when it is charging? Please let me know when you 
can and we can help troubleshoot your issue.

Hello,
I am having a significant issue with my WOU-Issue 
Dell laptop (#20210802), in that I cannot get it 
to power on regardless of the charging source 
(power cord it came with, desktop interface setup 
in my campus office, power cords for similar 
devices, etc). If you could please advise me as to 
what to do about this, I would greatly appreciate 
it!
