Removed unnecessary part from tray. Reached out to
Brian Jacobsen to see if we can order parts for our
Xerox printers.

Hello, Laurie,

That is fabulous. I am actually out today, but
there should be someone there. It is the printer
to your immediate left when you walk in WUC 119.
It is called Resume-Three Sisters or something
like that. I think the tray is in my office
around the corner on a table in the middle of the
room.

Hello,

Our printer technician, David, will be available
to stop by later this afternoon to help glue it
back in place and we've found another printer in
the same building that is the same model so we can
double check the piece is set the correct way.

Best,
Laurie

Good Morning Erin,

As per our printer technicians suggestion we
advise that you try glueing the piece back
together and maybe filing it down so it glues
easier. The part may be replaceable but we are
currently negotiating with our contractors that
puts a hold on warranty replacements currently.

Please try gluing the piece together and let us
know how it goes! If it does not work, I can
create a service request ticket for our printer
technician to reach out once we have more of an
update regarding the warranty.

Hope this information helps!

Best,
Sam

This looks like a flag that measures how much
paper is left in the tray. We could try glueing
it but I'm not sure how well that will work/hold
up. UCS is working with one of our printer reps
to move devices like this onto a new service
contract but we are still working out the details.
Usually off contract work can be expensive and
parts broken like that are not covered.

Hello!

We had a piece of plastic break off from the tray
of our color printer. I was going to try
superglue, but am not exactly sure how it was
situated or what it does. i wonder if you know of
another printer of the same model we could look
at? Or would you know how to fix it? Or have a
spare part?
