Hi Paula,
I've got a couple options on how we can handle 
your broken macbook issue.
1. You can request a computer replacement from 
portal.  Right now we are out of GFA funds and 
have no computers available so you would be on a 
list to have one ordered after July 1st. You just 
select 'computer replacement' from the Programs 
for Everyone link on the portal home page and fill 
out all the information.  The W# is 20191103[Edit Inv].
2. I can open an apple support ticket and send it 
in the Apple Care to see how much it will be to 
fix it if they even can.  It's not covered under 
Apple Care so your department would have to pay 
for the repair (spills aren't covered anyway).

I need some additional information regarding service request

Description: Spilled coffee on laptop

After looking at your laptop I’ve found out that none of the ports 
want to work, so at this point i’d have to recommend we install 
MacOS on a new device and have you start fresh. I wanted to give 
you a heads up before we start this process in case you had any 
concerns about it.

Seems like the ports on the macbook are probably 
shorted, it wont charge or do the time machine back 
up.

Paula has completed moving her files over to her 
H-drive. Provided her with instructions on how to 
access her files in the H-drive. 

Placed the laptop in Box#17

She is planning on checking in tomorrow morning to 
see if her loaner is avaialble for pick up.

Paula came in and is currently moving files that she needs to keep 
to her H drive. Once she is done SRD will put the computer in any 
box and notate it. We then want to start a Time Machine back up.

Hi Paula,

I need some additional information regarding

I was talking to by boss about a possible solution 
to this issue. I think the best solution we have 
right now is to get another GFA to change out this 
computer with. 

What I want to do is create a time machine back up 
of your machine and then restore it onto a new 
one, that way you have everything the exact way it 
was.

The issue with doing this is if the computer stops 
working in the middle of the processes we might 
lose some files. I wanted to see if we could 
schedule a time to have you come in an get the 
important files off the computer first before I 
start this process.

She dropped her laptop that she spilled coffee on. 
After she spilled it she turned it over and left 
it open to dry for 36 hours before turning it on, 
once it was on it worked fine but now the battery 
has ran out it wont charge. She needs a loaner in 
the meantime, preferably a mac, can get away with 
a windows
