Hi Sharyne,

I need some additional information regarding service request #84011

Description: 100% Hard Drive Usage, Will not Update

I suspect highly that this hard drive is on the cusp of failing with the symptoms noted.

I would recommend putting in for an upgraded system to swap this one out with entirely if doable.

Though if that is not an option, the next best thing would be to put in for a request for an upgraded hard drive. This would definitely alleviate slowdown issues on the device as it would be a much faster hard drive.

Without purchasing anything, the best I can do is reimage the device (re-download a fresh copy of Windows) in hopes that a fresh copy of windows will take away any possible program / background process that causes slowdowns, though this may not be whats causing the issue.

Let me know if there are any questions,

outdated and possibly failing spinning drive, if this wants to be salvaged it will have to have a 2.5" ssd upgrade.
