Hi Kathy,

I need some additional information regarding service request #84017

Description: Kathy's dept. laptop slow and wants reimaged

I have reimaged the laptop and it is ready to pick up / swap out with the loaner,

it feels relatively snappy and faster than before the reimaging process. I hope it feels noticeably faster, though at times it still may wind up and utilize its fans when its got a lot of things open in the background / on a browser.

I am available today to swap the devices somewhere on campus, we can also schedule some time next week.

made a time machine backup, and reimaging to monterey now.

Kathy stopped by today to see what we could do for her increasingly slower laptop, 20160929[Edit Inv]. It is an older macbook that can only download monterey. I explained that the best thing would be to reimage the device to the latest supported copy of Mac OS and to get rid of any prior data on the device (we went ahead and saved some stuff to their google drive). 

I will take a time machine backup of this device and reimage it ahead of 2 weeks. I sent her off with a loaner for the time being (20170674).
