had to configure the settings in windows sound 
settings and zoom to allow the monitor mic and 
webcam to be used

Yes! I will be available anytime between 8am-4pm 
for the rest of this week, except from 12pm-1pm 
this Thursday (Aug. 8th).

completing summer projects which is taking

Hi Sam, 

My Banner issue seems to be resolved - I emailed 
Nick Miller to let him know and I believe the 
service ticket related to that issue has been 
closed.  But I haven't had anyone come by yet 
about the issue in this email thread (ticket 
#84304 - the docking monitor, microphone & 
webcam). I know I have a lot of simultaneous 
service requests so I apologize for any confusion.

Hi Andrew, 

The monitor that has docking functionality is not 
the one with a webcam, and the second monitor 
doesn't have any kind of cover over it's webcam. 
And as far as I can tell, the webcam for that 
second monitor is not being detected.

Hello Emily,

On the new monitors with docking functionality, 
there is a click-toggleable camera on top of the 
new monitors with docking functionality. After 
ejecting the camera, does the webcam function 
properly?
 
Please let me know if you need assistance 
configuring the webcam after the computer detects 
it; I'm more than happy to assist you with the 
settings.
 
Please inform me if this issue remains unresolved 
or if there are any other issues, so I can 
initiate a service ticket to have a technician 
inspect it for you.

Hello, 

My office (Institutional Research) got a new 
monitor a few months back and when it was 
installed we were told that it could act as a 
docking station. Currently, the laptop is 
connected to two monitors, with the newer monitor 
being that docking station. This office was being 
used by a student worker, and as far as I know 
they never used it for web conferencing, so this 
issue was never noticed. 

Right now, I am having problems in Zoom and Google 
Meet because neither application can detect my 
external monitor's webcam. I can enable video, but 
all that displays is a black screen because the 
webcam being used is from the closed laptop. 
Additionally, I am not able to unmute my audio - 
when I try doing so I get a pop up on the new 
monitor saying "Please pop up webcam + mic module 
to enable your mic" . 

I have tried going through Device Manager, the 
Control Panel, and System Display & Sound 
settings, but haven't had any luck fixing the 
problem. The second monitor has a webcam but it is 
not being detected, and the drivers for that 
monitor are seemingly up-to-date.

I was wondering if any techs are available to come 
by sometime and help me fix this? I am in ITC 
204D. Thank you for your time :)
