I've contacted Apple Support and started the 
potential repair process.

Here is the information about the repair. It will 
be $299.00 so I need to get confirmation from your 
department for those charges and an Index to bill 
before I send it in to Apple for the repair.

Hi Laura,

I need some additional information regarding service 
request #84534

Description: condensation in laptop screen

Upon review of your Macbook, the device is still 
under warranty from Apple.

If you would like us to see if Apple would fix the 
device and acquire a quote, Apple needs the device 
to be not iCloud locked and associated with an 
account.
The device is associated with an email ending in 
@iastate.edu.

I've provided the instructions on how to remove 
iCloud account from the device.

According to Apple this is to ensure that the device 
that they work on is not stolen and have 
restrictions on the device.

Let me know how you want us to proceed.

Hello!

I just returned from a trip to the midwest where 
it was VERY hot and humid. My WOU laptop was in a 
backpack in a hot car and there was a water bottle 
in another pocket that leaked a bit. The moisture 
infiltrated the laptop screen and I'm wondering if 
I can bring it in to see if anything can be done. 
The laptop still works just fine, but the 
condensation is a bit irritating and might degrade 
things over time.
