Hello Elizabeth,

Yes, it should be fine to allow dell update to run, and clicking dell command update on the pop up window will hopefully solve it popping back up.

Let me know if you encounter any issues, and I can find another way to help.

Hi Jack - that's fine, I can do that, as long as it's something I'm supposed to do! I called for help because I didn't know what it was that was trying to run and I didn't want to run a program that was harmful somehow. If it's an update I need, then I'm happy to run it.

Thanks,
Elizabeth

let them know to click the always use this app button and click dell command top option to try and get rid of the pop up from reappearing, looks like it is an auto update thing for dell command and it's just asking what app to use.

Hi Elizabeth,

I need some additional information regarding service request #84811

Description: pop up reoccurring when using computer

It looks like the pop up is regarding some potential automatic updates through Dell Command Update - if this window is still popping up, you can make sure the box 'always use this app' is checked and click the top most dell command update option.

This may open up a dell command update window, which you can run to get updates for your device or close.

After you click dell command as an option when the pop up happens, it should remember that decision since the 'always use this app' was clicked and the pop up shouldn't pop back up.

Let me know if this works for you,

-Jack Martinis, UCS Tech.

Hi there - I just spoke on the phone with someone
about this issue and they were going to open a
ticket with one of the techs about this pop-up
message I keep getting. I've attached a screenshot
of it here.

Thanks,
